Introduction

• Farm animals- recognition of basic and later on all farm animals using figures, flashcards and creating a hands on sensory box is a great idea how to combine all senses of your little ones. My students were more than excited as they could use their own imagination while learning new things at the same time.

Content

• Little red hen- there are many different ways how to introduce this story. From the youngest age by a simple song (or a more complicated one), throughout a video later or by reading a book.
• Resources- I have used materials from the easiest ones to more complicated ones and all children seem to love it.
• Playdough mats and more- as children learn the best by doing we learnt counting till 10, adding & subtracting, following directions and sequencing as well.
• I spy- nice way how to incourage counting and using vocabulary.
• Crafts- create your own little red hen or whole theatre and play it.

• After mastering the topic of Little red hen you can push it even further and introduce babies or all the products of the farm animals. This way you would have an engaging activity that could last for week. This is what we did.
